Baseball Tryout Information

The baseball team will have its tryouts on the following dates: March 1st – 1:00 pm-3:00 pm March 2nd – 5:00 pm-7:00 pm Tryouts will be in the high school auxiliary gym. If you need more information, contact Coach Testa (john.testa12@icloud.com)

All-Sports Boosters Set to Hold Annual Reverse Raffle

The Coventry All-Sports Boosters are hosting their annual Reverse Raffle on Saturday, February 29th at Chenoweth Golf Course. This is their big fundraiser for the year and money raised goes directly to all the sports teams. So far this year, the Boosters have spent over $15,000 on our student-athletes. Boys Basketball Defeats Norton in Opening Round of OHSAA Tournament

The boys basketball team beat Norton last night 60-53 in the opening round of the OHSAA tournament. Senior Dev Pauley and junior Ronnie Thompson each had 13 points and sophomores LaGreer Surles and Kenton Duty each had 9 points to lead the Comets. The boys will now travel to Louisville on Friday at 7:00 pm

Four Comet wrestlers placed at the PTC tournament at Rootstown this weekend. The boys basketball team beat Springfield on Friday night 66-57 in their last game of the regular season. Junior Cameron Ray had 20 points and sophomore Kenton Duty had 11 points to lead the Comets. The boys basketball team lost to Marlington last night 72-60. Sophomore LaGreer Surles had a double double with 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Comets. Sophomore Kenton Duty also scored in double figures, notching 14 points. The boys are now 12-9 on the season and travel to Springfield on Friday to wrap up

Girls Bowling Qualifies for State Tournament

The girls bowling team finished 4th at yesterday’s District Tournament to earn a berth to the State Tournament. The girls finished with a total score of 3317. Senior Maria Caplinger earned All-District honors with her 559 series, placing her 5th overall. This is the second year in a row that the girls team has qualified

Owen Sias Qualifies for District Bowling Tournament

Senior Owen Sias qualified for the Division 1 District Bowling Tournament on Saturday by finishing as the 4th individual qualifier. The team finished in 6th place, missing out on qualifying by 58 pins. Sias will now bowl on Saturday at Stonehedge Lanes at 12:00 pm.

The boys basketball team lost to Woodridge on Friday night 67-52. Three Comets scored in double figures, with junior Cam Ray having 13 points, sophomore Kenton Duty having 12 points, and sophomore Landon Burkhart having 10 points.
