Senior Alan Byers advanced to the Sectional semifinals of the OHSAA tennis tournament yesterday, securing himself a spot in next week’s District tournament. Tennis Team Does Well at PTC Tournament

The tennis team had the PTC tournament yesterday at Ravenna. Seniors Josh Watson and Graham Evans finished as runner-up at 2nd doubles. Senior Alan Byers finished in 3rd at 1st singles and junior Carter Derrig finished in 3rd at 2nd singles. The team next plays at Massillon tomorrow.

The boys tennis team lost to Massillon last night 4-1. Seniors Graham Evans and Josh Watson earned the lone victory for the Comets at 1st doubles. The team is in action again tonight at Ravenna.

The boys tennis team opened up their season last night by defeating Norton 3-2. Senior Alan Byers won at 1st singles (2-6, 6-2, 6-2), seniors Josh Watson and Graham Evans won at 1st doubles (7-5, 7-5), and senior Brandon Hansen and sophomore Shane Adams won at 2nd doubles (7-5, 6-3).
