Hilbert Leads Boys Cross Country to 3rd Place Finish at Tuslaw Invitational

Senior Ray Hilbert finished in 4th place overall at the Tuslaw Invitational on Saturday, leading the Comets to a 3rd place team finish. Sophomore Ben Bullock, junior Owen Hartwig, sophomore Anthony Baker, and junior Dev Patel rounded out the Top 5. The team is next in action on Saturday at PTC’s.

Cross Country Teams Race At Spartan Invitational

The cross country teams ran at the Boardman Spartan Invitational on Saturday, one of the largest cross country meets in the states. Senior Ray Hilbert placed 34th out of over 400 runners with a time of 17:34. Many other Comets set new PR’s as well. The teams race at Malone this Saturday.

The boys and girls cross country teams ran at the PTC Superduals last night at Wingfoot Lake State Park. The cross country teams will be holding a “Cross Country Camp” on Monday, June 5th from 9-11 am at Firestone MetroPark. Any Coventry student grades 7-12 interested in the sport should come and learn information about the season, discuss proper running form, go over the summer workout schedule, play a few games, and eat lunch.

Tucker Pearce Qualifies for State Cross Country Meet

Senior Tucker Pearce became the first boys cross country runner in Coventry history to qualify for the State Meet as he finished in 8th place at the Boardman Regional.
