Lady Comets Mount 4th Quarter Comeback to Defeat Field

The girls basketball team outscored Field 21-8 in the 4th quarter to overcome 9 point deficit and defeat the Falcons 41-37. Lady Comets Fall to Cloverleaf

The girls basketball team lost to Cloverleaf last night 85-45, bringing their record to 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the PTC. Leading the way for the Comets were sophomore Taylor Norris with 12 points and freshman Maddie Ross with 8 points. Freshman Stacey Arnold grabbed 10 rebounds. Lady Comets Christen New Gym With Win

The Lady Comets basketball team opened up the season with a big victory over Rootstown. Coventry started off strong and never looked back, winning 60-39. Senior Megan Murray led the way with 20 points and junior Takalyn Hudson added 14. The girls play next on Wednesday at Cloverleaf.

Courtney Basinger to attend Baldwin Wallace University

Coventry High School is proud to announce Senior, Courtney Basinger will continue her basketball career at Baldwin Wallace University in the fall.  Courtney played varsity basketball for four years and is a three year letter winner.  She earned Honorable Mention honors in both Portage Trail Conference and The Womens’ Tri-County BasketballCoaches’ Association .

Girls Advance to District Final by Defeating Kenmore 49-40

The Lady Comets defeated the Cardinals for the second time this season 49-40. Leading the contest from beginning to end they earned a berth in the District Final on Thursday March 5th at 7:00 pm at Lake HS where they will face the top seeded Hoban Knights.  The Lady Comets huddle up before the game.

Girls Win Sectional Championship by Defeating Norton 40-27
