Football Team Shuts Out Kenmore-Garfield In Season Opener

The football team opened up the season last night at home vs. Kenmore-Garfield, winning 33-0. Senior Andrew Arnold threw for 108 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Senior Wyatt Stover caught a 16-yard TD and senior Austin Hinzman caught a 52-yard TD. Hinzman also caught a touchdown pass from junior Reese Brunson.

Eight Comet Football Players Sign National Letters of Intent

In addition to the two Comet softball players already committed to continue their athletic careers in college, eight football players signed their National Letters of Intent yesterday. Senior Dakota Marcin Named Academic All-Ohioan

Senior football player Dakota Marcin was named an Academic All-Ohioan today. Marcin, who carries a 3.68 GPA, was also 1st Team All-PTC and received the team’s “Best Offensive Lineman” award.

MS Football Routs Springfield in Final Game

The middle school football team scored early and often on their way to defeating Springfield last night 44-0. The Comet defense stifled the Spartans and forced several turnovers, while the offense was electrifying with many big plays. The team finished 5-3 on the season.

MS Football Falls to Woodridge

The middle school football team lost to Woodridge last night 26-14. Scoring for the Comets were Brady Watson with a touchdown run and Arico Pickett with a touchdown catch from Watson. They wrap up their season next Wednesday at home vs. Springfield.
