The boys basketball team defeated Cloverleaf last night 76-42, bringing their record to 2-1. Junior Treon Sibley led the way for the Comets with 17 points and 4 steals. Junior Sam Vanadia grabbed 9 rebounds for Coventry. The boys are back in action on Tuesday at home vs. Field.

7th Grade Boys Basketball Trounces Field to Remain Undefeated

The 7th grade boys basketball team defeated Field last night 46-13 to improve their record to 3-0 after wins over Copley and Cloverleaf as well. According to Coach Mike Dick, it was a “well played game” by the Comets. The boys are back in action again on Monday at home vs. Ravenna.

Lady Comets Mount 4th Quarter Comeback to Defeat Field

The girls basketball team outscored Field 21-8 in the 4th quarter to overcome 9 point deficit and defeat the Falcons 41-37. Sophomore Taylor Norris led the Comets with 14 points and freshman Maddie Ross scored all 11 of her points during the 4th quarter comeback. Girls Bowling Falls to Springfield

The girls bowling team kept it close but could not get over the hump and lost to Springfield 2223-2024, giving the Comets a 1-2 record. Senior Kailee Evans had the high game and high series with a 193 and 385 respectively. The ladies are back in action again on Friday at Crestwood.

Boys Basketball Tames the Dragons in Home Opener

The boys basketball team reversed a slow start last night to defeat the East Dragons 73-55 in their first game. Leading the way for the Comets was junior Treon Sibley with 20 points and sophomore Jarmond Hogg with 17 points. Hogg and Sibley led the way in rebounding as well with 11 and 10 respectively.
