Burkhart Signs National Letter of Intent with University of Akron

Senior Dusty Burkhart signed his National Letter of Intent to play football at the University of Akron today. Burkhart earned All-State honors his senior year and qualified for the State Track Meet during his junior year. Congratulations Dusty!

Lady Comets Defeat Northwest Behind Career High From Taylor Norris

The Lady Comets basketball team defeated Northwest today 66-52. The Comets were led by a career high in scoring from sophomore Taylor Norris, who scored 27 points. Senior Megan Murray added 11 points and junior Bella Pieri added 8 points. The girls are next in action on Wednesday at Woodridge.

7th Grade Boys Basketball Defeats Streetsboro

The 7th grade boys defeated Streetsboro last night 38-28 moving to 12-1 on the season. The Comets were led by Kamden McAfee, Brady Watson, Arico Pickett, and Kenton Duty. The boys are next in action on Monday at Woodridge.

Wrestling Falls to Field

The wrestling team fought hard but could not overcome a few forfeits and lost to Field last night 42-38. Winning matches for the Comets were junior Isaac Beal, junior Joe Wright, sophomore AJ McCants, sophomore Austin Hinzman, sophomore Liam Fagan, sophomore Jared First, and junior James Barte. The wrestlers are next in action next weekend

Baseball Tryout and Conditioning Information

The baseball team will be having conditioning at the high school from 2:45-4 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tryouts will be Tuesday, 2/21 and Wednesday, 2/22 from 3-5 at the middle school. The boys basketball team could not find the bottom of the hoop last night, losing to Western Reserve Academy 55-40. The Comets led at the half 31-27.
