Bowling Teams Honor Seniors After Dominant Wins Over Rootstown

The girls and boys bowling teams honored their 5 seniors last night after both handily defeating Rootstown. Being honored for the girls was Kailee Evans and for the boys were Ean Davis, Tyler Mosley, Austin Staggs, and Daniel Thomas. The bowlers are next in action on Friday at Springfield.

Attention Seniors: Summit County Sports HOF – Bruce Buchholzer Scholarship Info

PURPOSE: Four $1000 scholarships will be awarded to Summit County high school senior student-athletes to aid them in furthering their education. Two scholarships will be given to student-athletes graduating from an Akron high school, which includes St. Vincent-St. Mary, Our Lady of the Elms and Archbishop Hoban. 7th Grade Boys Basketball Routs Ravenna

The 7th grade boys basketball team continued their success last night, defeating Ravenna 52-6. The boys are now 11-1 on the season and play next on Thursday vs. Streetsboro.

7th Grade Boys Basketball Dominates Field

The 7th grade boys basketball team defeated Field last night 62-24. The Comets were led by Brady Watson with 20 points with Dylan Dick orchestrating the offense. The boys are now 10-1 and travel to Ravenna on Monday.

Wrestlers Host PTC Double Dual Match

The wrestling team hosted a PTC Double Dual match last night with Streetsboro, Springfield, and Cloverleaf. The Comets fell to both Streetsboro and Springfield but were led by junior Joe Wright, sophomore Austin Hinzman, and junior James Barte who all went 2-0. The wrestlers travel to Austintown Fitch today for this weekend’s Hephener Memorial Tournament.

Girls Basketball Falls to Field

The girls basketball team lost to Field last night 49-32, bringing their record to 5-9 overall and 3-6 in the PTC. Leading the way for the Comets were sophomore Taylor Norris with 14 points and 6 steals and junior Takaylyn Hudson with 6 points and 7 rebounds. The girls are next in action on Saturday
