Both the boys and girls soccer teams shut out Streetsboro last night. The girls won 5-0 and their record now stands at 5-3. The 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams continued their winning ways as they both defeated Streetsboro tonight. The 8th grade team won 25-15 and 25-10 and brings their record to 7-1. Pearce, Bullock Race to Top 15 Finishes at PTC SuperDuals

Senior Tucker Pearce finished 3rd overall and 2nd in the Metro Division at the PTC SuperDuals last night and 8th grader Ben Bullock placed 12th overall in the middle school race. The cross country teams are in action again Saturday at the 30th annual Spartan Invitational at Boardman High School.

Girls Volleyball Dominates Springfield

The girls volleyball team made quick work of Springfield last night, defeating the Spartans in 3 games: 25-11, 25-11, 25-10. Junior Haley Akers led the team in kills and blocks, senior Sydney Garske led the team in digs, and junior Sarah Horn led the team in assists. The Lady Comets are now 6-4.

Girls Soccer Nets 3 in Win vs. Cuyahoga Falls

The girls soccer team defeated Cuyahoga Falls last night 3-0. Scoring for the Comets were freshman Kyley Molea, sophomore Ashley Rafferty, and junior Emily Mungo. This brings their record to 4-3. The girls are next in action on Thursday night for Youth Night vs. Streetsboro.

Girls Soccer Hands Stow First Loss

The girls soccer team defeated Stow 1-0 on Saturday night, giving the Bulldogs their first loss of the season. Freshman Kyley Molea scored the lone goal of the night. The Comets improved to 3-3 and are back in action tonight at Coventry Memorial Stadium vs. Cuyahoga Falls.

Cross Country Teams Excel at Tomahawk Invitational

The cross country teams ran well on Saturday at the Walsh Jesuit Tomahawk Run. For the high school team, Tucker Pearce was runner up with a time of 17:13. Brad Holmgren (19:05), Owen Hartwig (19:17), Ray Hilbert (19:22), Brandon Smith (20:17), and Caleb Burdett (21:02) all ran great races and they all ran their personal bests. Freshman Football Falls to Tallmadge

The Coventry Freshman Football Team came up short against Tallmadge on Thursday.  The Comets took a 19-14 lead into halftime before Tallmadge found their stride and went on to 4 third quarter touchdowns.  The Comets fought their way back but ran out of time.  The final score was Tallmadge 43, Coventry 25.
