Senior Joe Wright (126) and junior Miles Knuckles (132) took home 1st place finishes at the North Coast Classic wrestling tournament this weekend, leading the Comets to an 8th place overall finish. Girls Basketball Defeats Field Behind Norris, Hudson, and Ross

The girls basketball team beat Field on Saturday 55-42. Junior Taylor Norris had 18 points, 3 assists and 3 steals, senior Takaylyn Hudson had 10 points and 11 rebounds, and sophomore Maddie Ross had 10 points and 4 assists. The girls are now 2-3 on the season and 1-1 in the PTC. They host CVCA

Vanadia and Wallace Lead Boys Basketball Past Cloverleaf

Senior Sam Vanadia scored 24 points and junior Micah Wallace scored 22 points on Friday night to lead the Comets to a 75-50 victory over Cloverleaf. Junior Cody Juersivich added 13 points for the Comets. The boys are now 2-1 on the season and 1-0 in the PTC. They travel to Field tomorrow.

Coventry Wrestling to Host “Legends Night” Tomorrow vs. Manchester

We invite you to join us for the 1st Coventry Wrestling Legends Night, a special night in which returning State placers and qualifiers will be honored. Senior Dakota Marcin Named Academic All-Ohioan

Senior football player Dakota Marcin was named an Academic All-Ohioan today. Marcin, who carries a 3.68 GPA, was also 1st Team All-PTC and received the team’s “Best Offensive Lineman” award.

MS Girls Basketball Splits vs. Field

The middle school girls basketball teams split at Field yesterday. The 7th grade won 52-18 while the 8th grade lost 35-8. The 7th grade is 2-0 on the season and the 8th grade is 0-2. The girls are next in action on Monday at Woodridge.

Freshman Boys Basketball Defeats Cloverleaf

The freshman boys basketball team got their first win of the season by defeating Cloverleaf last night 27-16. The Comets were led by Drew Dimeff and Tyler Clowser, each with 6 points. The boys are 1-2 on the season and travel to Tuslaw tonight.

The girls basketball team lost to Cloverleaf last night 58-35, dropping their record to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the PTC. Boys Bowling Defeats Garfield; Girls Suffer First Loss

The boys bowling team defeated Garrettsville Garfield last night 2441-2258, bringing their record to 2-0 on the season. The girls suffered their first defeat at the hands of the G-Men, losing 1962-1870. Both the boys and girls JV teams won. The bowlers are next in action on Friday at Garrettsville Garfield.
