Girls Varsity Sideline Cheer Winter · Cheerleaders Set to Honor Seniors


The cheerleading team will honor their 4 seniors from the Class of 2021 tonight at their game vs. Cloverleaf. The recognition ceremony will take place around 6:30-6:45 pm. Congratulations to Daysha Best, Konner Board, Lamara Edwards, and Savannah Matheney!

Daysha Best

Daysha has been a cheerleader for 3 years and is a part of the Key Club. Her favorite memory from cheer was being able to be team captain of JV and help these girls which I love every single one of them. Daysha offers the following advice for underclassmen: “Don’t let fear stop you from stepping outside of your comfort zone.” After graduation, Daysha plans to go to cosmetology school. She would like to give a shout out to her mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, and her whole family for being by her side and helping her learn throughout her life.

Konner Board

Konner has been a cheerleader for 5 years and her favorite memory was getting to cheer with her friends. Konner offers the following advice for underclassmen: “always stay true to yourself and be kind.” After graduation, Konner plans on attending college to major in exercise science and become a physical therapist. She would like to give a shout out to her mom, dad, and coaches.

Lamara Edwards

Lamara has been a cheerleader for 2 years and also goes to the PLCC for cosmetology. Her favorite memory from cheer was doing TikToks with the other cheerleaders during halftime. Lamara offers the following advice for underclassmen: “live life to the fullest.” After graduation, Lamara plans on attending college for cosmetology. She would like to give a shout out to her mom for being her number 1 fan and supporter.

Savannah Matheney

Savannah has been a cheerleader for 11 years and is also in the Spirit Club. Her favorite memory from cheer was winning the 2020 PTC cheerleading competition. Savannah offers the following advice for underclassmen: “Always do what makes you happy.” After graduation, Savannah plans on going to college at Stark State and to start working in a salon and furthering her education in cosmetology. She would like to give a shout out to her coaches, her family, and friends for always believing in her and pushing her to be the best she can be.
