The girls and boys track teams both defeated Mogadore and East last night. The girls beat Mogadore 78-48 and beat East 117-10. The boys beat Mogadore 96-31 and beat East 107-17.
Winning events against both teams on the girls side were the 4×8 relay of junior Emylie Candelaria, junior Sandra Northup, freshman Hannah Ragland, and sophomore Amber Hankins, junior Ashley Martinez in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles, the 4×2 relay of junior Rachael Fogg, senior Gracie Collins, freshman Carly Wightman, and junior Libby Vanderark, the 4×1 relay of Fogg, Collins, junior Halie Stevens, and Martinez, Fogg in the long jump, senior Jasmine Yates in the shot put, and Ross in the high jump.
Winning events against just Mogadore was Northup in the 3200. Winning events against just East were Stevens in the 100, Vanderark in the 400, Hankins in the 800, Wightman in the 200, the 4×4 relay of Ragland, Northup, junior Roxie Slota, and Hankins, and Yates in the discus.
Winning events against both teams on the boys side were the 4×8 relay of junior Christian Regan, and sophomores Cameron Ray, Drew Dimeff, and Dennis Charnes, junior Damian Jackson in the 110 hurdles, senior Austin Hinzman in the 100, long jump, and high jump, the 4×2 relay of juniors Ravel Ray, Derrick Brown, Justin Christian, and Malik Shaver, junior Ben Bullock in the 1600, Christian in the 400 and 200, Charnes in the 800, senior Owen Hartwig in the 3200, and senior Zach Rankin in the shot put.
Winning events against just Mogadore was the 4×1 relay of junior Marcus Sims, Hinzman, junior Calvin Dudley, and Brown. Winning events against just East were Shaver in the 300 hurdles and the 4×4 relay of freshman Holden Mullenax, senior Dev Patel, Regan, and Hartwig.
The teams are next in action tomorrow night at the Toby Grim Relays at Dalton.
