Girls Varsity Softball · Softball Defeats Ravenna, Wins 6th Straight Game

The softball team beat Ravenna last night 18-2, winning their 6th straight game. The Comets tallied 15 hits in 31 at bats. Junior Stacey Arnold was 2-3 with a double and a home run and 3 RBI’s, sophomore Allie Akers was 2-3 with 5 RBI’s, sophomore Miya Gotto was 2-4 with 1 RBI, junior Gabby Sampson was 2-4 with 1 RBI, sophomore Cassidy Karakis was 2-3 with 2 RBI’s, and sophomore Jenna Hinkle was 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI’s. Junior Mikayla Baldwin added a double as well. Hinkle got the win on mound, giving up only 2 runs on 3 hits. The girls are now 6-3 on the season and 5-2 in the PTC. They play in the Racers Showcase this weekend at Firestone Stadium. Today they play Firelands and NDCL and Sunday they play Newton Falls.
