Boys Junior Varsity Baseball, Boys Varsity Baseball · Baseball Splits vs. Manchester on Saturday

The baseball team split a doubleheader at Manchester on Saturday, bringing their record to 2-4 on the season.

Coventry won the first game 7-6. Senior Casey Simon led the team at the plate, going 2-4 with a single,  double and 2 RBI’s. Senior Adam White, sophomore Austin Achberger, junior Zach Hoffman, and junior Garret Krites all had 1 RBI for the Comets. White, Achberger, and junior Colby Ragland combined for the effort on the mound.

Manchester won the second game 8-2. White led the Comets offensively, going 2-3 with 1 RBI. Freshman Keo Plant pitched 3 innings, giving up only 3 hits and 2 runs.

The JV team also split their doubleheader vs. Manchester.

Coventry won the first game 13-10 and Manchester won the second game 17-3. On the day, junior Anthony Baker went 3-7 with a double, freshman Brendan Lushes went 2-6 and scored 4 times, and freshman Logan Smith went 2-4. Freshman Sabian Semelsberger, sophomore Eric Davenport, freshman Dylan Lebold, and freshman Andrew Mosnot all pitched well for the Comets.

The teams are next in action tonight, with the varsity at Woodridge and JV hosting Woodridge.
