Girls 7th Grade Volleyball, Girls 8th Grade Volleyball · MS Volleyball Ends Regular Season With Wins Over Cloverleaf

Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams as they both finished their regular season with a victory over Cloverleaf.

Our 8th grade team finishes as the PTC regular season league champs with a perfect 14-0 league record.  The team begins tournament play this Saturday and will face Springfield in the opening round.  Norton is hosting the league tournament and game time is set for 9:00 am at Norton High School.

Thursday night’s win over the Colts (25-5 and 25-11) was a good one.  The team was pumped up as they played their final game in the Coventry Middle School gymnasium.  The team was led by Ronnie Meinen with 11 service points and Emma Gotto had 9 points.  Also scoring big with serves were Brooke Mirka with 7 points, Mallory Meinen with 6 points and Haley Futrell added 5 points.  The 8th grade is now 19-0 on their season.

The 7th grade team finished their regular season on top as well.  The team finishes tied for first place in the PTC with a 13-1 league record.  The 7th grade team will also face off with Springfield in the first round of tournament action this Saturday.  Game time is set for 10:30 at Norton Middle School.

In Thursday night’s win, the Comets downed the Colts 25-13 and 25-19.  Emmie Morrison led the team with 11 service points.  Madi Burkhart had 7 points and Alexa DeLong added 6 points.  The 7th grade is now 15-1 overall.
