Congratulations to our 8th grade volleyball team for a big win over Norton!  Our Comets came ready to play with confidence, hustle and determination.  Game scores were 25-15 and 25-16.  Lexi Dimeff led all scorers with 12 service points.  Brooke Mirka, Maria Church and Emma Gotto added 4 points each.  Ronnie Meinen led in blocks at the net and Meinen and Mirka led in kills.  Our back row players made some great digs and added great hustle on several volleys.  Way to go girls!  The 8th grade team keeps their winning streak alive and improves their record to 12-0!

The 7th grade team suffered their first loss of the season against a strong Panther team.  In game one, the girls lost a close one 22-25, but then bounced back with a 25-19 win in game two.  The Panthers came out on top for game three winning 25-16.  Madi Burkhart led all scorers with 12 service points.  Burkhart added several key hits at the net and a big block.  Aubrey McCracken added 8 service points and played well at the net as well.  Rounding out the service points were Sydney Peterson and Gabby Dick with 7 points each.  The 7th grade finishes their week at an 8-1 record.

Next week the girls travel to Field on Monday, Woodridge on Tuesday and then face Green Middle School at Green on Thursday.
