Girls 7th Grade Volleyball, Girls 8th Grade Volleyball · MS Volleyball Teams Defeat Streetsboro

Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams who both picked up their first league win yesterday against the Streetsboro Rockets.

The 8th grade team started off match play winning in 2 games with scores of 25-14 and 25-16.  The team was led by Lexi Dimeff with 11 service points and Mallory Meinen added 8 points.  Streetsboro was much improved from last season and gave the Comets some competition early in both games.  A string of good serves and a few key plays at the net helped the Comets come away with the victory.  Ronnie Meinen led the team in kills at the net.  The 8th grade team keeps their winning streak alive with a 4-0 record on the season.

The 7th grade team won in two games as well – scores were 25-22 and 25-23.  Our 7th grade team was led by Sydney Peterson with 11 service points and Madison Burkhart with 7 service points.  Gabby Dick also contributed adding 5 service points.  Leading the team in the front row were Burkhart and Aubrey McCrackenEmmie Morrison led in digs.  The 7th grade team is now 1-0 on their season.

Good luck to the girls as they face Field and Woodridge next week at home.  Go Comets!
