Congratulations to both the 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams! Both teams defeated Ravenna yesterday at Ravenna.
The 8th grade team started play with a tough loss in game 1 losing 10-25. Game 2 also started out rough for the 8th graders as they fell behind 2-9 early in the game. The team did not give up and with the help of 17 serves in a row by Natasa Jovic, the girls came from behind to win 25-12. A 25-17 win in game three gave the 8th grade team their 6th win of the season. Jovic finished the evening with 19 service points in all to lead the team.
The 7th graders dominated once again winning in two games. Game scores were 25-4 and 25-11. Mallory Meinen led the team in service points with 11 points total. Ronnie Meinen contributed with 7 points, followed by Brooke Mirka with 5 points and Grace Hall with 4 points. The 7th graders improve to 14-0.
