The 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams took to the court yesterday evening in their first home match of the season. The 8th grade team fell short and lost in two games. Scores were 11-25 and 23-25. The girls gave it their best effort, but a few first game nerves and some tough serves from Streetsboro allowed the Rockets to travel home with the win. Leading servers for the 8th grade team were Hannah Ragland with 8 service points and BreAnna Osborne with 4 service points.
The 7th grade team earned their first win of the season by defeating the Rockets easily in two games. Scores were 25-5 and 25-12. The Comets dominated game one and continued with the same play in game two. Leading servers for the 7th grade were Brooke Mirka with 7 services points. Also chipping in with some key serves were Lexi Dimeff, Emma Gotto, and Mallory Meinen with 6 service points each.
Good luck to the girls as they continue match play next week as they travel to Field Middle School to take on the Falcons. Good luck girls!
