The boys track team ran away with the title at the Tusky Valley Invitational on Friday night. Coventry finished with 144 points, 37 points ahead of runner-up Dover. Senior Tremayne Collins was named meet MVP after winning the 300 hurdles and 4×2 relay and coming in 2nd in the 110 hurdles and 4×4 relay. Junior Dusty Burkhart won the 100 meter dash, tying the school record with a time of 10.8 seconds. Senior Tucker Pearce finished 2nd in the 1600 meter run in a new school record of 4:38.2.
Other event champions included the 4×2 relay (junior Dillan Raines, sophomore Treon Sibley, senior Jaret Skaggs, and Collins), the 4×1 relay (Burkhart, junior Tyler Porter, junior Daniel Fassnacht, and Sibley), senior Nick Jones in the 800, and Sibley in the 200.
On the girls side, junior Connie Agner won the 400 meter dash, leading the girls to a 6th place team finish.
