Golf Team Takes Back 93 Cup

The golf team brought the 93 Cup back to Coventry by defeating Manchester last night in a Ryder Cup style match 3-0. Today, they play at Sable Creek in the PTC Championships.

Girls Soccer Falls to Streetsboro

The girls soccer team couldn’t get anything going last night, losing to Streetsboro 2-0. The girls are now 4-6 on the season and 1-3 in the PTC. They are next in action on Saturday vs. Tallmadge.

Boys Soccer Shuts Out Streetsboro

Tennis Drops Match to Manchester on Senior Night

The girls tennis team lost to Manchester last night 3-2 on Senior Night. Sophomore Grace Carmen won at 3rd doubles (6-4, 6-2) and seniors Jessica Shockey and Glendy Bergdorf won at 2nd doubles (6-2, 6-3). Shockey, Bergdorf, Gabby McGraw, Kailyn Weidlich, Rebekah Flower, and Gracie Hollingsworth were the 6 seniors honored on Senior Night.

Girls Soccer Falls to Kent

The girls soccer team made a second half surge but it was not enough as they lost to Kent last night 4-2. They are now 4-5 on the season and play at home tonight vs. Streetsboro at 5:00 pm.

Cheer Team Hosts Cheer Camp

This past week the Coventry High School cheerleaders hosted a mini cheer camp for our future Comet cheerleaders. Mini campers worked very hard learning a cheer and dance that they performed prior to the football game on Friday night. Great job girls!

Cross Country Teams Race At Spartan Invitational

The cross country teams ran at the Boardman Spartan Invitational on Saturday, one of the largest cross country meets in the states. Senior Ray Hilbert placed 34th out of over 400 runners with a time of 17:34. Many other Comets set new PR’s as well. The teams race at Malone this Saturday.

Volleyball Nabs Two Wins at Tri-Match

The volleyball team defeated both Lake Center Christian (25-15, 25-15) and Open Door Christian (25-23, 25-20) on Saturday.
